Since its humble beginnings in 1982, Golden Gate Wrestling Club has become one the most influencial and highly respected organizations in the sports community. Golden Gate has been a California USAW Freestyle chartered club since 1986, a 501c(4) non-profit since 1987, and a San Francisco Parks & Rec sponsored activity since 1991. GGWC became a 501c(3) non-profit in 2010. We established our Alliance Wrestling program for high school wrestlers in San Francisco in 2007.
